This two hour workshop will focus on the benefits and effects of heart opening. Class will start with a short meditation, followed by an hour and a half of asana, primarily focusing on various back-bending postures, working towards multiple variations of camel pose and wheel pose. This workshop will teach flowing in harmony and synchronizing movement to breath. We will have a deep 10 minute restorative wind down with blankets and sage at the end of class! The last 20 minutes will be devoted to a lecture on the subtle effects of heart opening. We will cover basic anatomy as well as mental/physical benefits of heart opening.
