This two hour workshop will cover the basic fundamentals for shoulder and upper spine flexibility as well as hip mobility. We will go over techniques and tips to safely add backbending to your practice. The first hour of class will focus on exploring various ways of deepening flexibility and stability, emphasizing on variations of wheel pose, camel pose and standing backbend. The second hour will focus on hip opening, working towards variations of pigeon, splits and dancer’s pose. We will also have a deep 10 minute restorative wind down with blankets and sage at the end of class!
